There's something very scary about something that is brand new. And exciting. Opening a brand new journal and looking at all of the empty pages, and wondering will possibly written on them. Poising your pencil above the first line and realizing with some measure of trepidation, that right now, the journal is perfect. There have been no smudges, no erasings, no ugliness. The pages haven't recorded anything that you will look back on and be ashamed of. There are no tear stains, no chocolate smears...
I've had blogs before. Some I was more faithful to than others. Some posts were genius, others were embarrassing. Some were just plain drudgery. I can't promise that this blog will be better. But right now it's new. And right now, it could be perfect.
What I can tell you is this. If you are looking for a place to find out what's going on in my life, this is not it. If you are looking for the latest news on my friends, this is definitely not the right place. Facebook is the answer to that one. I'm not even sure what you'll find here. What I can promise you is this: it will be me.
Take a deep breath. Smell that? That's the smell of a brand new blog.
Ahhh yes! a new blog, it smells,... well it smells like a good rain or dew in the morning. Sigh, oh that the rain would fall just a little closer, for i can see it over there, afar.
